DOG CHRISTMAS BISCUIT WREATH DIY

MAKING THE DOG BISCUIT WREATH

Mom always wanted to design a countdown to dog Christmas calendar or some kind of decoration that would have treats for us on it. (well really just me until she decided to get me a brother.) When I was little she used to decorate a small tree for me and dogs that would stop over with their families during the holidays.  It would be covered with skinny rawhide candy canes! Oh how I loved them! Then Dino (Dean) came along and he decided to have diarrhea every time he ate one-so there went that tradition! Thanks Dean! (He just cant handle rawhide of any kind- some dogs are like that.)
So a few years ago she designed a Christmas wreath using fabric and dog biscuits on a wire wreath!

YAY! Its simple to make just follow the directions below!

Here are some things you will need:

Cut a 4" wide strip of fabric as long as you can make it
(you can always use several pieces)

Iron it flat then fold it in half  (wrong sides facing in) & iron it again

Unfold it & then  old one side in to the center & iron flat

Then fold other side into the center & iron flat

Take your glue tape & run it down the inside of each side & press in place

Now take your strip & start weaving it under  & over through your wire wreath frame starting on the inside front

And then around the back & over the front to the right

Continue wrapping all the way around and overlapping to cover the wire frame

When the wire is completely covered, cut the fabric so it ends around the back of your wreath.

Glue in place

Now make the hanger by using a 2" wide x 10" long strip of the same fabric and folding and pressing in place the same way you did before EXCEPT this time -
*If you don't feel like sewing, you can simple use a ribbon or piece of yarn to hang the wreath

Fold it over again on top of each other. Glue or sew together.

Place it around the wreath and sew the ends together.

Then position it around the back of the wreath

Now it's time to tie on the dog biscuits! See the video below.

YUMMY!!! Better hang it up quick! lol
The biscuits can be replaced as often as needed, & you can reuse it year after year!
