Kentuck Knob

My husband's Uncle would always talk to us about this house, so we recently we went to see it. This is a Usonian house designed by Frank Lloyd Wright called Kentuck Knob. It is very close to the  famous Falling Water  house and although it isn't quite as breathtaking, it is an amazing house and certainly worth visiting! They offer daily tours, and have a gift shop and snack bar.

A shot from the groovy lamp pole!

A strange exposure on this front shot of the lamp. I just made it a little darker so it wasn't too washed out... and then it turned purplish!

Outside the Master Bedroom

This is the band of window that runs around the top edge of the house. It represents the 52 angles that were used in the house! Yikes ! Sounds like a mitering nightmare to me!!

Pretty potted tree on the patio

This is us making a phone call from one of the 3 Phone Booths in the Sculpture Garden. There were many other fascinating sculptures, but you'll have to check back in again, because I don't have time to post them all today! Thanks for visiting!
