Printed  pattern

I use a self healing mat. If you don't have one you can use cardboard.

Use freezer paper to trace the pattern.

Place over pattern.

Trace

Cut out using x-acto knife.

Cut off any excess paper.

Cut a square piece of burlap 15" x 15"

Center pattern .

Place shiny side down and iron using hot iron no steam.

Make sure all edges are securely adhered.

Place paper towels under burlap.

Use white textile paint.

Or -if you don't think you are going to be washing it- any white acrylic paint.

Using a small brush go around edge of design first.

Make sure it is completely filled in.Once you done with edges fill in the middle.

Remove paper pattern carefully once you are done. (while it is still wet)

Careful...

Cut a piece of muslin the same size as front ( 15x15)

Cut a piece of cotton canvas 15"x 20"

Fold in half and cut so you have two pieces 10"x 15"

Iron using hot iron and steam

Fold over edge on one edge that is 15" long and iron flat.

The fold over again so rough edge is tucked in and iron flat . Repeat for other piece.

Place one finished piece good side facing down on top of  Burlap with bunny. (muslin piece should be under bunny )

Seam side should be facing up

Overlap other piece of cotton canvas good side facing down.

Pin it all in place and trim off any excess.

Go around with a straight edge and pencil in about 1/4 inch. This is the line you will sew on. Make sure your pillow is square.

Now sew all around. Once then remove pins , turn over and sew on the other side.

Turn the pillow cover inside out and poke out the corners (I use a chopstick)

corner pushed out

Ta dah!!! It's ready for  14" pillow insert!
