It's a cloudy day here in southern NC , waiting for the BIG snow/ice storm they have been predicting all week. I thought I would put together the instructions for my pillow pattern to share with you all. As many of you already know, I LOVE burlap and have designed many pillows, stockings, and home decor items using this textural fabric. I saw this wonderful wall hanging created by Amanda over at Burlap & Denim for her large living room wall. She inspired me to pair the burlap with denim! I hadn't used denim in long time, and certainly never together with burlap. I picked up some deliciously thick and soft blue denim at Joanne's Fabric, along with my burlap and some white denim.
Here's a look at the beautiful finished product you can create! The instructions are for a pillow cover with an envelope closer on the back.But if you would like to make it as stuffed pillow, just cut the back piece to 20" x 20" also, and leave an opening at the bottom to add fiberfill. Then sew it closed by hand. It's a great pillow for a beach house, and makes a super teen or surfer gift!
